The Movement Box Instructors
The Movement Box Dance Studio is proud to introduce you to our talented instructors who have years of experience and numerous qualifications.
Anya Kelley has spent most of her life studying dance, and has a rich and varied background in the art form. As the head teacher of Ballet North and the lead competition company choreographer, she taught classical ballet, tap, jazz, lyrical, modern, hip-hop and contemporary. In her college years she was one of only four freshman dancers invited onto the Utah Valley University Ballet Company, where she performed professional classical and contemporary pieces. She spent five summers at the Russian Kirov Academy in Washington, DC and three at the Bossov Ballet Academy in Maine in the pursuit of the Russian Vaganova Ballet method. Anya studied with former principle dancers of American companies like the Boston Ballet and Ballet West, and was a member of the Southern New Hampshire Youth Ballet classical company. She performed in countless local ballets and musicals, including The Nutcracker, Don Quixote, West Side Story, Greece, Giselle, Les Miserables, and Sleeping Beauty.
Kirsten has been dancing since the age of three studying many different disciplines including: ballet, pointe, character, jazz, modern, contemporary, and lyrical. She has apprenticed and taught dance to young children since the age of eleven. She will be a senior at Coe-Brown Northwood Academy this year. Kirsten enjoys playing competitive volleyball, is a member of peer helpers, on the executive council of HOSA, and a member of the National French Honors Society. She plans on studying Exercise Physiology and Kinesiology in college. Kirsten wants to mix her passion for dance and joy of working with children into a career of dance and movement therapy.
Stacia has been Dancing and Modeling since the age of 3. She is on the Pre Professional Elite Dance Competition Team and is a great role Model to all the younger Dancers that have had the pleasure to work beside Stacia. She is a hard worker, very enthusiastic and compassionate about Dance and Track.
